Asst. Prof. Dr. Kavin Asavanant, Program Director and faculty member at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, received a Royal Thai Government scholarship from the undergraduate level to pursue studies in the United States. Dr. Kavin graduated from Stanford University, California, USA (read about Ajarn's story during his time at Stanford), which is the main university in Silicon Valley.
He has extensive experience in startups and has been part of founding teams that drove several startup companies, such as Doctor Raksa, a healthcare (telemedicine) startup, and Noonswoon, a social network startup. He has experience raising funds from both domestic and international venture capitalists, with total fundraising exceeding one hundred million baht.
Beyond his work in innovation, in his free time Ajarn enjoys studying thinkers, developers, and artists from around the world. One of the role models he follows is Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat, a Thai artist who uses creativity and perseverance to create artistic innovation at Wat Rong Khun (the White Temple) in Chiang Rai Province.
